Harry Potter Invisibility Cloak- Review

* I have been gifted the Harry Potter Invisibility Cloak in exchange for an honest review, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Harry Potter Invisibility Cloak

The Harry Potter Invisibility Cloak is a replica of the iconic cloak which Harry received of Christmas Day in Harry and the Philosopher’s Stone.

It features the authentic pattern one on side and a green silk interior. It also comes with a folding tripod stand for your device and a unique authentication code to use with the Wow! Stuff app.

How to use it:

The Wow! Stuff app allows you to view yourself and create photos and videos. The cloak is patterned on one side and green on the other, when the green side is shown to the camera you will appear to be invisible. This works like a green screen just like in the movies! First of all you take a photo of the scene with no people or moving objects visible. Then you start filming or can take photos and appear invisible! The app also has a self timer of up to 10 seconds. It’s really user friendly and the images/videos created can be saved to your camera roll.

What did we think?

If you follow me on Instagram you will know that Archie is a huge Harry Potty fan. He has been making wands, Marauders maps, acceptance letters and a book of spells! He was over the moon when he found out he was getting this cloak to review and couldn’t wait to try it out.

Archie is 10 years old and has his own iPod which he downloaded the app onto and inserted the product key code (which comes with the cape). He found it very easy to set up and had lots of fun with it!

Even when he’s not using the cape in the app he’s running around the house with his wand shouting “Wingardium Leviosa!”

So not only is it great to disappear with it’s also a dressing up item which can be used whenever and wherever!

As I mentioned the scene where Harry received the cloak earlier I thought I would insert it here:

And show you our version of the scene here:

I’m not sure the thousands of pounds I paid for my drama degree were actually worth it!

Archie is a huge fan of these cape and it definitely lived up to expectations. It would make an amazing gift for any Harry Potter fan and is available from Smyths, Argos, Amazon and the Harry Potter Shop at Platform 9 3/4. It retails at £59.99 but is currently on offer for £39.99 in Smyths so it’s worth shopping around.

Thank you for reading,
