Now that Darcie is one I can see how inquisitive she is beginning to be. She really loves toys that are bright, make noise and do “something”. She loves trying to figure out where the pieces go and what they do.
Little Tikes got in touch and asked us to review their Fantastic Firsts range. I hadn’t seen this range before and it looked great. I loved the design and colours but also the idea that they’re going to help us celebrate her “firsts!”
The Singing Sorter is a 2 in 1; a pull along caterpillar and a shape sorter. I love the fact this toy has two purposes. There are 5 blocks which match to their shape and colour.
The blocks have a texture on the top, a cute face on the side and are perfect for little hands to grasp. When Darcie pulls the caterpillar along it plays a little tune and the shapes bob up and down.
Darcie really loves this toy and over the past couple of weeks she’s been able to match the shapes up!
These are so cute! This is a 9 piece set which features a 3-part animal; their body, their head and their nest/feet. Each animal body has a different feature; a crinkle, rattle or sound.
The three animals include a rabbit, a bear and an owl but you can mix n match them however you wish! When the animals aren’t stacked their eyes are shut but once they are stacked onto a body their eyes open.
Darcie really enjoys stacking these animals and she loves taking them apart too. She hasn’t grasped how to match the animals by colour yet but this will be a lovely toy to teach her that skill. Again this toy features two modes of learning; stacking and nesting!
Although Darcie wasn’t sent this toy I just thought I would mention the Spinning RC as it’s part of the Fantastic Firsts range. This would make a lovely first RC car for a toddler, it can go forwards, backwards and spin 360 degrees. The doors swing open when it swings and it is simply controlled with 3 buttons!
Thank you for reading my review of Little Tikes Fantastic Firsts range. The toys are available from Amazon, Sainsbury’s and ASDA.
